John Wood took a lead 3:00 into a Wednesday evening game against the Lincoln Land Loggers and never looked back on their way to a 78-59 victory.  

The Blazers of John Wood led by as many as 20 points in the first half and 28 early in the second half. The Loggers were never able to get closer than 18 in that second half. Lincoln Land was able to show some life in the second half where they outscored John Wood by 1, but that was not nearly enough as they went into the halftime break trailing by 20. LLCC was unable to string together enough score and stops together to seriously threaten the Blazers after they gained the advantage. John Wood controlled the boards, committed two less turnovers, and shot a better percentage from the field on the evening in a total victory. 

Michael Ousely led the Loggers with 16. Camren Kincaid added 12 while also dishing out a team high 3 assists and pulling down a team high 8 boards. DJ Turner and Stephan Douglas got to 10 a piece.  

Lincoln Land falls to 10-15 on the season and 3-5 in MWAC play. They will finish up their home regular season schedule Saturday against a hot Parkland Cobras team that the Loggers defeated back on January 28.
