The 11th ranked Lincoln Land Women's Basketball team turned a one point halftime deficit into a 66-47 victory over Triton College Saturday afternoon. The win improved the Logger's record to 5-0.

Lincoln Land survived the cold 3 hour trip to take a 15-8 first quarter lead. However, Triton wouldn't go away as they turned up their defensive pressure on the Loggers. In addition, Triton would have their best offensive output of the game to outscore Lincoln Land 16-8 in the period. Marley Smith left the game early in the second period due to fouls but still lead the Loggers with 8 points. Freshman point guard Elynn Peterson pulled down 3 first half rebounds as the Loggers went into halftime down 24-23.

The third period proved to be the turning point for the Lincoln Land victory. The Lincoln Land offense woke up behind Sophomore Addison Scarlette. Addi hit a 3 and had a beautiful driving lay up to lead Lincoln Land to an 18 point team total. Defensively, Lincoln Land's full court pressure forced several Triton turnovers.
Lincoln Land entered the final frame up 41-36.

The fourth quarter saw Triton turn up their defensive pressure. The Trojans were able to frustrate Lincoln Land with their press at times. Fortunately, the Logger's were able to handle the pressure to score several lay ups to preserve the 56-47 victory.
