Loggers comeback falls short losing 3-2 to Kaskaskia

Lincoln Land could not get its offense going to begin the game as Kaskaskia held possession on Lincoln Lands side of the field and prevented the Loggers from taking a shot in the first half. Kaskaskia was first to get on the scoreboard in the 28th minute of the game on a serve into the box that was finished on a back door run. Kaskaskia would strike again in the 40th minute on another serve in the box finished off on a redirected header.

The Loggers started the second half determined to get back into the game. At the 54th minute the Loggers Blair Keebler attacked Kaskaskia's end line and laid a pass back to the penalty area where Madalyn Buxton buried it in the back of the net, bringing the Loggers within 1. The Loggers would strike again in the 85th minute when Lauryn Klobnak gained possession and was able to send a nicely placed through ball to Blair Keebler who was able to finish off the play, by beating the Kaskaskia keeper 1 on 1 evening up the score 2-2. However, the tied score would not last very long as Kaskaskia was able to answer in the 86th minute when Kaskaskia forward was able to squeeze past Lincoln Lands defense and finished it off with a well-placed shot to take the lead 3-2.
The Lincoln Land Loggers next game is Saturday October 8th against #1 Heartland Hawks at The Corn Crib in Normal, IL.
