Lincoln Land men's basketball started 2020 play, dropping a home game 100-81 to the Lakers of Lake Land Community College.
Lake Land forced a timeout two possessions into the game after knocking in back to back threes and going up 6-0 1:00 into the game. That first minute set the tone. Lincoln Land cut their deficit down to 3 early in the contest, but quickly found themselves down double digits. The Lakers led by as many as 16 in the first half and led by close to that amount the rest of the way. The Lakers put in 54 points in the first half and led 54-35 at the break. Lake Land was propelled by shooting 64% (7/11) from behind the arc. Lake Land also pulled down 8 offensive rebounds which produced 9 second chance points. Although the Loggers played Lake Land even (46-46) in the second half, the damage was already done for the Loggers who fell 100-81.
The Loggers are now 2-13 on the season. They play again Monday in Milwaukee against Bryant and Stratton College.
