The #2 ranked Lincoln Land Loggers played Danville Area College on Wednesday at Cass gym and came away with a 79-55 victory. Lincoln Land scored off of the opening tip and never trailed the rest of the game. Danville managed to get within three points early in the quarter
at 9-6. Lincoln Land scored quickly off of full court pressure and managed to have a 25-11 lead at the end of the period.
The second period saw much of the same as Lincoln Land outscored the Jaguars 20-12 in the period to hold a 45-23 halftime lead. The second half saw Danville mount a small comeback and cut the lead to 18 before the Loggers scored on three consecutive baskets to outscore the Jaguars by four in the period. Danville outscored the Loggers 11-13 in the final period, but that wasn't enough to over come the large Logger lead.
The Loggers were lead in scoring by Havilyn Dulin with 19 points. Freshman Sadie Bueker contributed 14 points respectively. Lincoln Land was lead in rebound by Jolene Bueker with six boards. Hannah Wallen contributed five. Hannah Wallen lead the Loggers with six assists. Katryel Clark lead the Loggers with 4 steals. The Loggers hit 10 three point field goals against the Danville zone. Lincoln Land, who is ranked #2 in the latest NJCAA poll, improves to 21-1 on the season. The Loggers travel to East Peoria on Saturday to take on the Illinois Central Cougars. Game time is
