The Lincoln Land women's basketball season came to an end Sunday at the hands of #1 Illinois Central 86-66. The 5th ranked Loggers held a 41-37 halftime lead but were unable to hold on for the win.
Lincoln Land started the game by scoring 26 first quarter points but still trailed ICC 26-27. The Logger defense stepped up big during the second quarter and held the Cougars to just 10 points offensively while scoring 15. The second half was the downfall for Lincoln Land. ICC quickly cut into the Logger's lead behind two 3pt baskets by the  Cougars. Both teams traded baskets throughout the quarter until ICC went on a run to outscore Lincoln Land 26-12 in the period. Lincoln Land trailed entering the final frame down 63-53. Lincoln Land had no answers during the fourth quarter and was outscored 23-13 for a final of 86-66.
Havilyn Dulin led the Loggers with 12 points and 4 assists. Madison Jones and Nicole Robinson each finished with 11. Rounding out the Logger scoring was Katryel Clark (9), Jolene Bueker (8), Hannah Wallen (8), Madison Jernigan (6), Chelby Harden (3).
LLCC Shooting Stats: FG 25-64 (39%) 3Pt FG 5-21 (24%) FT 11-16 (69%).
Lincoln Land finished the season 27-4.
