The 10th ranked Lincoln Land Women's basketball team defeated Parkland College 74-60 Monday evening. The Loggers defense was the difference early in the contest and held Parkland to 7 first quarter points. LLCC also made 10 of 18 shots during the period to take a commanding 26-7 lead. Parkland switched to a zone defense in the second quarter and limited Lincoln Land to 15 points while scoring 21. Lincoln Land still held a 41-28 lead at half. The third quarter was a back and forth battle with Parkland out scoring LLCC 23-20. Lincoln Land found their grove again in the fourth and held Parkland to 9 points while closing out the victory with 13 for a final of 74-60

Madison Jones finished the game with 18 points. Madison Jernigan lit up the scoreboard by hitting four three pointers and finished with 14. Havilyn Dulin and Nicole Robinson had 12 and 10 apiece. Katryel Clark scored 8 points and pulled down a game high 15 rebounds. Jolene Bueker had 7 rebounds and scored 4 points.  Nicole Robinson dished our 5 assists while Hannah Wallen had 4.

Coach Jones was happy with the team's performance. " Tonight's win was a big stepping stone for us. Once again, this is a game you circle on the schedule. Anytime you can come here and leave with a win, it's great. We still need to be focused and be ready for Danville Wednesday."
