The #6 ranked Lincoln Land Loggers squared off with conference foe Parkland College on Wednesday night at Cass Gymnasium.  The game started with both teams trading baskets and continued this trend for most of the night.  Katryel Clark scored 12 of the Loggers 19 first half points at the Loggers took a 19-16 lead at the end of the first.  Hot shooting from the three point line allowed the Loggers to outscore Parkland 20-13 in the second quarter in route to a 10 point half time lead.  Jolene Bueker, Hannah Wallen, and Madison Jernigan all made three point baskets in the quarter.

The third quarter was much of the same as both teams traded baskets most of the quarter with Lincoln Land our scoring Parkland by 1 point in the third period.  The fourth quarter is where things got interesting as LLCC only made one field goal in the period.  Jolene Bueker scored the Loggers only basket in the period.  Fortunately for the Loggers, their defense stepped up and made things difficult for Parkland.  Parkland managed to throw in a couple of late threes that cut the game to four, however, timely free throws by Havilyn Dulin sealed the deal for the Loggers.  "Not having Madison Jones and Nicole Robinson made things difficult tonight.  However, our girls really stepped up and played as a team.  This might be one of our better wins of the season.  I'm proud of the effort tonight." Stated Logger coach Chad Jones

The Loggers were lead in scoring by Katryel Clark's 25 points.  Havilyn Dulin had 12, Jolene Bueker 11, and Hannah Wallen and Madison Jernigan each contributed 8 points respectively.  Clark lead all rebounders with 10 and Jolene Bueker missed a double double by one rebound with 9.  Havilyn Dulin had four steals and 4 assists.  Hannah Wallen contributed 4 assists as well.

The Loggers improve to 23-2 on the season and travel to Lewis and Clark College on Saturday for a 1pm tip.
