Offensive struggles doom the Loggers in 82-41 home loss to Illinois Valley Community College.
Turnovers and cold shooting hurt the Logger men's basketball team all
Saturday afternoon. LLCC was only able to muster only 23 points in the first half and 18 in the second. The Loggers shot 26.5% from the field on the day and made only 11 field goals. Lincoln Land also committed 26 turnovers which led 21 points for IVCC. Those stats alone were the story of the game.
LLCC went into the half trailing 38-23. In the second half the Loggers were as close as 14, but IVCC ended the game on a 39-12 run. 17 turnovers were committed by the Loggers in the second half.
No Loggers got to double digits in scoring. Freshmen Garik Hill ended with 9 points while pulling in 10 boards.
LLCC falls to 2-10 on the season. They stay home and play again
Monday eveningagainst Wabash Valley.
