The # 5 Lincoln Land women's basketball team hit a season high 11 three point baskets to propel the Loggers to a 86-53 win over Missouri Valley JV. Missouri Valley kept the game close in the first half by hitting 5 three pointers. However, Lincoln Land was able maintain a slim 31-29 halftime lead.
The Logger's Hannah Wallen and Madison Jernigan buried 2 three pointers apiece in the third period. Katryel Clark added 8 points and two blocked shots to outscore Mo Valley 26-12 for a 57-41 lead after three.
A 29 point fourth quarter dashed any hopes of a Mo Valley comeback. Taryn Sams led the way with 2 three pointers while Sadie Bueker added one. The Logger defense also stepped up and only allowed 12 points for a final score of 86-53.
Hannah Wallen and Katryel Clark led Lincoln Land with 14 points apiece. The Bueker cousins, Sadie and Jolene, poured in 11 and 9 points. Madison Jernigan chipped in with 9 points. Clark led the way with 8 boards while Jolene Bueker, Kennedy Bauer and Hannah Wallen brought down 6. Havilyn Dulin distributed 5 assists.
The #5 Loggers moved to 7-0 on the season. Lincoln Land will play next on Saturday, Nov. 23 at Kaskaskia College.
