The Lincoln Land Loggers men's soccer team traveled up to Galesburg tp take on Carl Sandburg Wednesday afternoon. The Loggers are still playing through an injury bug and found themselves down 6 starters at the start of the game. LLCC battled hard all game, despite the fact that they only had one sub for the game. The Loggers got the scoring started when Sergio da Ventura created the first goal when he beat his defender and was taken down inside the box for a penalty kick. Dimitre Antonjevic scores the penalty kick 20:00 nto the first half. The Loggers struck again when da Ventura played a through ball to Franco Clementi who finished for the second goal. Loggers took that 2-0 lead into half. Although the Loggers gave up a goal on a bobbled ball by the goalie, they were able to secure the ball for most of the second half and the game to win 2-1.
