The Loggers traveled down to Godfrey to play Lewis and Clark Friday evening. The game was an exciting back and forth affair from beginning to ends. The Loggers are still down a few players due to injuries that have plagued them as of late.
The first half was intense, and unfortunately the Loggers gave up an own goal to start the scoring. LLCC came back ten minutes later when Dimitre Antonjevic slotted a ball through the gap to Christian Fierro who put it away for the Logger goal. The game went into half as a 1-1 game.
The second half was more of the same. The Loggers' goalie Josue Resendiz came up big with a couple stops. Loggers had a couple chances as well, Lewis Clark got a free kick around the box at the 75:00 mark and Kyle Swanner hit the ball in the back of the net to break the tie. The game ended in a 2-1 final.
LLCC falls to a record of 1-6 on the year.
