Loggers Drop Round 2 Contest

The Loggers lost round 2 of the Region 24 Tournament to top-seeded Heartland CC 11-2. Devin Smith took the loss for Lincoln Land, after 4 1/3 innings striking out 4 and giving up 8 hits. Jack O'Connor pitched the final 1 2/3 innings, surrendering 2 runs on 3 hits. John Plattner and Dalton Fletcher both had multiple hits in the game for the Loggers. The 2 runs came from a 2 RBI single from John Plattner in the top of the 6th inning. Cole Greer and CJ Fleming chipped in a hit apiece.

After their loss, the Loggers continue Tournament play tomorrow against Illinois Central College in an elimination game. First pitch will be at 10:00 a.m. at The Corn Crib in Bloomington.
