The Lincoln Land Lady Loggers defeated M-WAC conference rival Danville Area 64-46. Lincoln Land got off to a slow start trailing 13-6 after the first period. The Loggers cut into the lead during the second quarter but still trailed 29-24. The second half proved to be a strong defensive performance by Lincoln Land. The Loggers out scored DACC 21-9 in the third quarter and 19-8 during the fourth quarter for the final of 64-46.
"We were two different teams today," commented Coach Albert after the game. "Our focus the first half was bad. To the girl's credit, they came out the second half and dominated both ends of the floor. Our full court defense was terrific. It was a pleasure to see our traps and rotations being executed correctly. Our defense forced 35 turnovers which was the difference in the game. We needed a win today and I'm happy the girls finished strong and got a good result."
