The Lincoln Land men's basketball team gave their Homecoming game crowd something to cheer for as they came away with a 89-67 victory over Robert Morris Springfield.
Lincoln Land was able to lead wire to wire and were about to race out to an early double digit lead that they never relented. The Loggers led by as many as 28 on their way to the victory. Lincoln Land had five players reach double digits. They were led in scoring by sophomore Jerrid Cosby who had 16. Freshman Marcus Williams had a career high 10 and freshman Nic Hagel had a double double with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
"It is nice to get a win today because I felt like we have been improving on some things, but just have no gotten that break through win. Today gave some guys a chance to play some minutes and gave us ability to work on things as a team." Head Coach Chad Jones stated following the win.
Lincoln Land is now 11-11 on the season. Lincoln Land will be in MWAC play for the rest of the season, next they will play Parkland College Tuesday evening at home.
