The Lincoln Land Lady Loggers began their weekend road trip by defeating D1 Sauk Valley 72-45. LLCC used a stifling defense and efficient offense to start the game. The Loggers outscored the Blackhawks 30-6 after the first quarter. Lincoln Land went on to score 16 points in each of the remaining quarters to finish the game.

Every Logger scored in the game with Jolene Bueker and Havilyn Dulin leading the way with 10 points apiece. Madison Jones finished with 9 points and Trissa Shawgo contributed 8.

Coach Jones was pleased with the outcome of game one of the road trip. "We need to stay focused on the things we practice each day. Tomorrow we have another Region 4 game at Kishwaukee and we are looking for consistency on both ends of the court. We're a dangerous team if we stay fundamental and bring energy."
Lincoln Land is now 4-0 on the season.
