The Lincoln Land women's basketball team lost their game to Southwestern Illinois College 55-74. The Loggers shot a dismal 23% (19/83) from the field and were 4/29 (14%) from the three pt. line. LLCC did finish 13/16 (81%) from the free throw line.
The bright spot for the Loggers was Denzelle Moore's performance of 16 points and 12 rebounds.
Coach Albert was at a loss for the teams poor shooting. "We've spent a lot of time shooting over the break. For us to shoot this poorly for the entire game is disappointing. When shots aren't falling, you really need to step up at the defensive end but we didn't tonight. I felt we were extremely passive on both ends and we simply need understand how important it is to gets stops when shots aren't falling."
Moore led Lincoln Land with a double/double of 16 points and 12 boards. Molly Smith added 14 points and Nicole Robinson had 9.
