The Lincoln Land Loggers men's soccer team was at home today against conference rival, the Lincoln College Lynx. The Loggers played their best game yet this season. Lincoln Land came out fighting hard and playing very tough.
The match was back and forth for the first 75:00, however neither team could find the net, leaving the score at 0-0. Logger goalie Kyle Bugay came up big with three great saves to help keep the Loggers in a tie game. For Lincoln Land, Jefferson Brito hit the post on one shot, and Murphy Domitien had a couple of good chances at the goal, unfortunately the Loggers could just not put the ball away. On a controversial no call hand ball, Lincoln College scored their first goal. Guilherme Teodoro scored at the 75:00 minute mark of the game. Lincoln came right back five minutes later on a pass from Julian Roman to Tajay Small to push the Lynx lead to 2-0. The Loggers had two free kick opportunities but missed both, and found themselves still trailing 2-0. Lincoln tacked on a late goal in the final two minutes from Ignacio Ximenez, who scored unnassited.
