Men's Basketball gets 100-72 victory over Robert Morris Springfield

LLCC – 100
Robert Morris Springfield – 72

The Logger men's basketball team returned home from a short Thanksgiving break to get back in the win column with a 100-72 victory over Robert Morris Springfield.

Lincoln Land led the entire way after a DJ Doolin bucket on the first possession of the game and held a 56-32 lead at the half. Sophomores Trace Gentry and D'Aaron Owens powered the Loggers in the first half with 14 and 11 each. Lincoln Land shot the ball well as they converted on 60% of their first half field goals. Gentry and Owens ended the game as the two leading scorers with 25 and 18 each.

"We needed a win and tonight gave us that. We scored the ball well in the first half, but we needed to make more stops than we did. They would drive at us and we would foul them. We gave them a lot of points on the line. That is the disappointing point of tonight's game." Head Coach Chad Jones stated after the game.

As stated Gentry (25) and Owens (18) led the game in scoring. Freshmen Ryan Lacefield and Nic Hagel also got into double digits with 12 and 11 apiece. Trace Gentry also led the Loggers with 7 rebounds.

Lincoln Land is now 6-2 on the year. They will stay at home and play again next Thursday against Blackburn College.
