The Lincoln Land Lady Loggers had their first Region 24 tournament win this afternoon over John Wood Trailblazers, 48-46. Last time the Loggers played the Trailblazers they allowed them to score 78 points, so there was a significant improvement in the Loggers' defense. Lincoln Land came out very strong in the first quarter, scoring the first 7 points of the game. The lead at the end of the 3rd quarter was only by one, 15-14. There were 10 lead changes within the rest of game. Lincoln Land finished their last possession with 3 seconds left in the game, which did not leave enough time for the Trailblazers to finish their last possession efficiently. This was a very big win for the Loggers, and tomorrow they play Parkland for their second game in the tournament.
