The Lincoln Land Lady Loggers defeated M-WAC opponent John Wood 65-61 on Saturday.  The game was tied 26-26 at the half.  Lincoln Land found themselves down after the first period  8-16 before outscoring John Wood in each of the remaining three periods.
 
Lincoln Land got off to a slow start early in the game by turning the ball over.  The second period saw the Loggers settle down and outscore the Blazers 18-10.  " We didn't have the start like we wanted during the first quarter," said Coach Albert after the game.  " The second quarter set the tone for us.  We were able to get into a flow offensively and played solid defense.  We also had great play from our bench.  Calee Fulling and Chloe Albert came in and gave us quality minutes and scoring.  The win was definitely a team effort."
 
Lincoln Land shot 21/59 from the field for 35.5% and went 10/15 from the free throw line for 67%.  Both teams had 42 rebounds.  Lincoln Land committed 16 turnovers while forcing John Wood into 20.
 
Rachel Alde led LLCC with 15 points with Chloe Albert and Calee Fulling each had 11 and 8.  Albert and Sydnee LeGrande both pulled down 7 rebounds.  Selena Bradshaw contributed 3 steals for the Loggers.
 
Lincoln Land improved to 15-7 and 3-2 in the M-WAC.
