The Lincoln Land Lady Loggers lost to Danville Area C.C. 48-60 on Wednesday night. The Loggers had a 28-23 lead at the half.
Lincoln Land shot a dismal 1 for 14 from behind the arc and finished 21 for 61 from the field for 34%. LLCC was 5 for 9 from the free throw line.
"We began the game with a lot of energy and got out to the early lead," commented Coach Albert after the game. "This was a very disappointing loss. We can look at the poor shooting percentage but we failed to get the job done on the defensive end. We left shooters open, we allowed dribble penetration and we gave up to many offensive boards. Our intensity needs to be there for the full 40 minutes.
Other than the first quarter, Sydnee LeGrande played well. She was a rebound away from a double/double."
LeGrande led the Loggers with 12 points and 9 rebounds. Kylie Crouse pulled down 9 boards and Chole Albert finished with 7 points.
Lincoln Land fell to 16-8 and 4-3 in conference play.
