LLCC swept 2-seed Owens to advance to the NJCAA National Title Game for the second consecutive year.  The Loggers did it in atypical fashion against the Express as Owens sought to keep Talesha Scott from hitting effectively, limiting her to seven kills for the match.  The decision hurt as Addie Patton struck for ten kills, Kaylee Beekman chipped in eight, and Kiersten Anderson added her second triple-double of the national tournament, an impressive feat given this match only went three sets.  "We had a nice simple game plan," Coach Dietz said.  "We wanted to keep the ball away from their libero.  We did that, and when we did, she started pushed to get to some balls, and that left holes elsewhere in the defense.  I also think they were worried about Talesha on the outside and single-blocked us in the middle and Addie's too good a hitter to not exploit that."
 
LLCC will play at 5:30 Eastern time, and for the second consecutive year it will be against Region XXIV rival, Parkland.  "It's funny.  Last year, I spoke with Parkland's coach, and we both that it was possible we could see each other again this way.  We gave it 2-1 or 3-1 odds, and here it is."  Dietz laughed, "I wish I could do this with Lotto numbers or the stock market."
