Loggers lose a well played game with Parkland on a penalty kick, 2-1. LLCC hosted Parkland at SASA Sports Complex in a rare night game. "We fought all night against the top team in Region 24," stated Coach Pete Christofilakos. The Loggers got on the board first in back and forth game. Alec Paoni found Naba Alzhyri who hit the shot from 18 yards out into the right corner to take the lead 1-0. Ryan Brown then received a red card with 20 minutes let that left the Loggers down a man for the rest of the game. The Loggers never gave up and battled hard the whole game, but gave up a late goal on a head ball at the 2 minute mark left in the game to tie the game at 1-1. The referee awarded Parkland a penalty kick with only 13 seconds on the clock. The Cobras kick hit the post and got the rebound but were denied a second attempt on goal with a great save from Alex Clark. Two minutes into overtime, the referee awarded Parkland another penalty kick which they converted to win the game 2-1.
