LLCC answered the call with two come back wins from the loser's bracket, defeating Illinois Central College 14-3 and John Wood 12-6.,, Extra base hits were key in game one., Austin Muench and Conor White each had doubles., Colby Griggs tripled and Will Schneider and Nick Lonergan each homered., Colby Griggs was 4-for-4 to lead the Logger hitting along with, Schneider who went 2-for-3 with 3 RBIs and Lonergan who,was 2-for-4 with 4 RBIs., Conor White, Zach Barnhart and Austin Muench each had 2 hits in the win.,

Sawyer Howard was the winning pitcher for the Loggers., Howard (10-1) threw 5 innings in the run ruled game, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits and 1 strike out.

LLCC played John Wood for the second time in two days in game two. The Loggers, coming out of the loser's bracket,defeated John Wood 12-6 to force a third game tomorrow at 4 pm for the Championship. The Loggers pounded 13 hits, including two doubles (Austin Muench and Conor White) and a 3 run homer by Carter Pranger in the third inning. Balks and errors plagued John Wood in the 5th inning as the Loggers scored 5 runs on 3 hits.

The Logger offense was led by Carter Pranger, who went 2-for-5, 4 RBIs, Conor White 2-for-3, 2 RBIs and Austin Muench who was 3-for-5.

The Loggers pitching staff combined to hold John Wood to 3 runs on 9 hits.,, Ryan Arnold (9-2),was the winning pitcher., Arnold went 5.2 innings, allowing, 5 runs on,6 hits and 7 strikeouts. Tyler O'Shea relieved Arnold in 6th inning and Ryan Bailey finished the game allowing no runs on,2 hits.,

LLCC (41-14) will face John Wood (38-21) tomorrow for the Region Championship and a berth to Nationals., Game time is 4 pm at Kracik Field (LLCC campus).
