10 Double Figures Boost Loggers Past Illinois Wesleyan, 91-80

LLCC – 91
Illinois Wesleyan JV – 80

The Lincoln Land men's basketball was able to snap a two game skid by coming away victorious against Illinois Wesleyan's JV, 91-80.

Tonight's game was a highly entertaining game for all involved with a total of 24 made three point shots. Illinois Wesleyan JV had come in playing and shooting incredible and the Loggers knew they were in for a fight. The game was very closely contested with the Loggers taking an early 7 point lead, but the lead did not top that number until late in the game. As evident by the score at half of 40-40. As the game ticked down, Lincoln Land was able to make enough shots and get enough stops to slowly pull away.

"This was a game we were worried about because of how well they (Illinois Wesleyan's JV) had played early this year," commented Head Coach Chad Jones. "We had talked all week about how we were going to play them and I feel like our guys came out and did exactly that. This win is the best feeling one this year because of that fact. This was one of the best played basketball games I have ever been a part of."
