The Lincoln Land men's basketball team kicked off second semester in miserable fashion falling 74-54 to North Central Missouri College.
Â
Lincoln Land struggled to score the ball all evening shooting only 39% from the field, 27% from behind the arc, and 69% from the line. The game was only a 4 point game at half when the North Central Missouri College Pirates held a 37-33 lead. The second half was a different story with North Central outscoring the Loggers 37-21. Lincoln Land continued their struggles holding on to the ball as they committed 15 turnovers. Freshmen Edin Mehmodovic was the lone double digit scorer for the Loggers who also pulled down a team high 9 rebounds.
Â
"For the second game in a row we did not come out of halftime ready to play. We got hit in the mouth and gave up. We have to get tougher, that's all it is," reflected Coach
Chad Jones following the loss.Â
Â
Lincoln Land falls to 10-5 on the year. "The road does not get easier" as they play again on Monday in St. Louis against St. Louis Community College.Â
