The Lincoln Land Loggers men's basketball team began their Mid West Athletic Conference season by traveling to Lincoln to take on the Lincoln College Lynx. Lincoln Land fell 78-49.

The Loggers did not shoot the ball well either struggling while shooting 29% from the field, 23% from behind the arc, and 58% from the line. This was highlighted by the fact that the Loggers started the game 1/10 from the free throw line. "We have been talking about how conference games are at a whole different level and tonight proved we hadn't bought in to that thought. This could be a long remainder of the season unless we start playing better defense and playing with more heart," stated a frustrated Coach Chad Jones.

Lincoln Land is now 13-7 on the season and 0-1 in the conference. The Loggers play at home Wednesday night as they continue conference play against Danville Area Community College.
