Logger baseball defeated Illinois Benedictine University-Springfield today 7-6 before the rain canceled game two due to rain.  Austin Muench was 2-for-4 with 2 RBIs along with Michael Reavy who also went 2-for-3.  Sam Goode hit his second home run on the year as he was 2-for-4 with 2 RBIs. 
LLCC scored 3 runs in the 2^nd inning on 3 hits and 3 Benedictine errors.  Benedictine responded with 4 runs in the bottom half.  Benedictine scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 4^th inning but the Loggers responded with 2 runs in the top of the 5^th on a Sam Goode's homer that drove in Austin Muench who reached on a base hit.  The Loggers scored 2 more runs in the 6^th inning.  Logger pitchers did their job on shutting down the Benedictine bats in the last three innings.  Reed Willenborg (3-2) was the winning pitcher and Blake Welch picked up the save (2).

Game two was canceled due to rain in the first inning.  LLCC is now 24-10.
