Lincoln Land continued conference play in Lincoln against the Lincoln Lynx and fell 59-50.

Today's game was a huge for both teams as it turned in to a battle for conference positioning. Points were at a premium all afternoon in Lincoln as neither team got in the flow offensively throughout the game. At one point the Loggers held a 12 point, but Lincoln closed with a strong run. The Loggers took a half time lead of 25-23 into the locker room.

The second half remained close and with 5:00 left it was a 1 point game. Down the stretch the Lynx made the hustle plays down the stretch and the Loggers had costly turnovers that allowed Lincoln to pull away in the end, winning 59-50.

After the game Coach Chad Jones commented, "This was a disappointing game from the stand point that we needed a win and we were unable to do so. We shot poorly, but did not make up for it in other areas. The last few minutes of games continues to be our downfall."

Lincoln Land was led in scoring by Marcus Graham who put in 19 points. Kendall Davis added 15 off the bench.

Lincoln Land falls to 11-14 (1-6) and continue play Tuesday at home against MacMurray JV.
