The Loggers came out of the gates fast and took an early 6 point lead after a hot start by freshman Andrew Weaver who had 9 points in the first 9:00 of the game. After a back and forth stretch the Loggers scored a basket and forced a Pirates timeout with 2:08 left in the first half. At that point Lincoln Land held what would be their largest lead of the game, 7 points. North Central Missouri College made a small run to close the half and cut the score to 34-31 with Lincoln Land on top.

Early in the second half neither team was able to take much of a lead. Down the stretch there were 6 lead changes and 6 ties until the Pirates scored with 11:16 left to go up by 2 and they never relinquished the lead. North Central built the lead as high as 8, but after late back to back threes by Michael Cameron and Eddie Longmeyer Lincoln Land closed it to 4 with 1:15 left. However, the Loggers were unable to score again and eventually fell 68-60.

After the game Coach Jones stated, "We did a lot of good things tonight but had too many stretches where we gave them the ball or gave them easy buckets. We finally shot the ball fairly well, but just had a lot of foolish mistakes. This was a winnable game and hopefully we can learn from our mistakes moving forward."
,
Lincoln Land falls to 3-2 on the season and looks to get back on track Wednesday at home against Region opponent Rend Lake.
