LLCC Men's soccer suffered their first loss today as they fall to Jefferson College, 2-0. The Loggers came out a little flat in the first half and went down 1 goal on a defensive lapse with 10 minutes remaining in the half. LLCC made some adjustments in the second half and created multiple scoring opportunities; however, the Loggers were held scoreless for the first time this year.

Jefferson College scored their second goal when goalkeeper Ubaldo Olvera was pulled deep out of the box. Jefferson College took a long shot at goal and Darwin Soto covered the net and deflected the shoe with his hand, resulting in a red card and goal off the resulting converted penalty kick.

LLCC and Jefferson College battled for the remainder of the second half as they exchanged failed scoring opportunities. Coach Dunas said, "The loss was humbling and a great learning experience for the guys." The 7-1 Loggers will face Southwest Illinois Community College next Monday at home. Coach Dunas feels confident that the loggers will grow from the loss while continuing to move forward.
