Lincoln Land defeated Danville in their opening game of the Region 24 double elimination tournament played at Lanphier Ball Park in Springfield, Illinois.  The Loggers scored 5 runs on 7 hits to win game one.   Jake Ingold led the Logger offensive attack going 2-for-3 with a home run and 3 RBI.  Blake Gand was 2-for-4 with 2 RBI and Jerod Pellman also added 2 hits in the victory.  Ryan Aper had a tripled in the first inning and was 1-for-3 with 2 runs scored.

Ridge Ackerman (8-4 record) was the winning pitcher.  Ackerman went 8 innings allowing 2 runs on 7 hits and striking out 7 hitters.  Dan Reiser pitched the 9^th inning and picked up his 9^th save.

The Loggers advance in the tournament to face Heartland on Friday at 6 pm.  All games will be played at Lanphier Ball Park in Springfield.
