The Lady Loggers opened their season with a 73-68 win over Moraine Valley. LLCC had a 36-33 lead after half time but had to come from behind late in the game to pull out the victory. The Loggers had a couple of key baskets from Bre Lewis and some clutch free throws by Kasi Korza and Jessica Armour that sealed the win.

Coach Albert was proud of the way the Loggers' effort in the closing minutes. "We really finished the last three minutes of the game nicely. We were able to get some important defensive stops and were able to execute the offense for some baskets late in the game."

Kasi Korza led the Loggers with 21 points and 16 rebounds. Jessica Armour hit for 19 and Shelby Cuffle finished with 11.
