Springfield, IL – Illinois Central out hit and outscored the Loggers in both games of the double-header played Sunday, April 15
th at Claude Kracik Field. The Loggers had 11 hits in the first game and they also left 13 runners on base. Ryan Aper, Jake Lance and Cory Fanning each collected 2 hits in the tough Mid-West Athletic Conference loss. Relief pitcher, Nick Lampen got the loss (0-1) in the 8
th inning.
Jake Lance went 3-for-3 in the second game for the Loggers. Jarod Pellman drove in the only Logger runs in the 1
st and 6
th innings with a ground out RBI and a double. Dan Reiser picked up the loss and is now 3-1 on the season.
The Loggers record fell to 21-12 overall and 8-8 in the MWAC.
