Coach Ray Bishop enters his fifth season as assistant coach of the Lincoln Land Community College Women's Soccer program after joining the Loggers in the fall of 2022.
Bishop brings more than 20 years of coaching experience, working with boys and girls of all ages throughout the Springfield area. He has coached with the Springfield Area Soccer Association and previously served as an assistant coach at Lanphier High School.Â
A 1996 graduate of Lanphier High School, Bishop was a four-year varsity starter, team captain, and All-Conference selection before continuing his playing career at Southwest Illinois College, Lincoln Land Community College and Robert Morris College.Â
As a former Logger, Bishop is passionate about helping student athletes grow on the field, succeed in the classroom and continue the tradition of Lincoln Land soccer.Â
Outside of soccer, Bishop works as a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) professional and lives in Sherman with his wife, Stacey, and their two children, Brendon and Madison.
