SAAC
The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is a student organization at Lincoln Land Community College within the Athletic Department that is solely made up of intercollegiate student-athletes. College advisors facilitate discussions within the topics of leadership, campus engagement, community involvement, and student experience. SAAC also provides a space to generate a student-athlete voice on needs or concerns throughout campus.
SAAC's goal is to be a voice for Lincoln Land student-athletes while they strive to achieve greatness in the classroom, playing fields/courts and throughout the community. The SAAC Program wants all student-athletes experience at Lincoln Land Community College to be not only successful but personally rewarding as well.
Student Athlete Advisory Committee Purpose
Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) functions as a liaison between Lincoln Land Community College student-athletes, peers, and Athletic Department administration. The purpose of SAAC is to enhance leadership skills and promote campus/community engagement through discussions, activities, projects, and/or speakers.
Goals:
· Form and foster relationships throughout campus by creating or participating, contributing, or attending campus related activities.
· Generate a student-athlete voice that assists Athletic Department Administration in addressing the needs and concerns of the student-athletes.
· Prepare student-athletes with life-long leadership skills.
Structure:
· Each athletic program is represented by 2 representatives (1 freshman/1sophomore) and appointed by LLCC Head Coaches.
· The Athletic Director and two college representatives will serve as the college advisors for SAAC.
