The Loggers fell behind by four runs in the fourth inning, but then tried to fight back. The Loggers closed the gap by scoring on a single and a home run. Parkland College Cobras opened the scoring in the first after Dabe drew a walk, scoring one run.

Parkland College Cobras committed an error, which helped the Loggers tie the game at one in the bottom of the first. In the top of the second, Parkland College Cobras broke up the tie when Karczewski singled, scoring one run. Then a double by Patel followed to extend the lead to 4-1. Parkland College Cobras scored one run in the top of the fourth on a solo home run to center field by Carrano. Kondrad hit a solo home run to center field in the top of the fifth for the Parkland College Cobras.
