Loggers Keep It Close Against Jaguars, Lose On Walkoff

The Loggers fell to Jaguars 10-8 on Sunday on the final play of the game. Jaguars were down 8-6 in the bottom of the eighth inning when Waller hit a grand slam to right field.
The Loggers collected six hits and Jaguars had nine in the high-scoring affair.
The Loggers got on the board in the top of the first inning after Bowles singled to right field, Brown walked, and Jaguars committed an error, each scoring one run.

The Loggers scored five runs on six hits in the top of the second inning. Cox doubled, scoring one run, Barnes grounded out, scoring one run, Geis doubled, scoring one run, and Herman singled, scoring two runs.
The Jaguars scored three runs in the bottom of the second on a home run to left field by Wichtowski. The Loggers added two more runs in the top of the third inning on two hits. Cox hit a solo home run to left field, and a wild pitch scored one run. The Loggers scored six runs on six hits in the top of the fourth inning. Barnes singled, scoring one run, Geis doubled, scoring one run, Saxe singled, scoring one run, Herman doubled, scoring two runs, and Turner singled, scoring one run.
Cooper earned the win for the Loggers. The hurler allowed three hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out four and walking two. Rangel took the loss for Jaguars.
