Loggers Take One and Give One Away with Vincennes

Swaney Drives 5 Runners Home In Loggers Victory Over Vincennes University

March 13, 2026 vs. Vincennes University

Swaney drove in five runs on three hits to lead the Loggers past Vincennes University 16-5 on Friday at Vincennes Indiana. Swaney singled in the second inning, scoring three runs, and singled in the fifth inning, scoring two.

The Loggers got on the board in the top of the first inning after Cox singled down the right field line, and Barnes grounded into a fielder's choice, each scoring one run. The Loggers extended their early lead with four runs in the top of the second thanks to RBI singles by Swaney and Cox.

The Loggers scored five runs on two hits in the top of the fifth inning. Lennington hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, Saxe drew a walk, scoring one run, Swaney singled, scoring two runs, and Bowles hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.

Everroad hit a solo home run to left field in the bottom of the seventh for the Vincennes University.

Goss earned the win for the Loggers. The hurler gave up eight hits and four runs over five innings, striking out four and walking one. Whaley took the loss for Vincennes University. The starter went four innings, giving up seven runs on eight hits, striking out two and walking four. Hutton appeared in relief for Loggers.

The Loggers accumulated 13 hits in the game. Geis and Swaney each collected three hits for Loggers. Bowles, Turner, and Cox each collected multiple hits for the Loggers. Saxe led the Loggers with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, amassing 11 walks for the game. The Loggers were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Lennington made the most plays with eight.

Vincennes University collected 10 hits in the game. Everroad provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Vincennes University with two runs batted in. The 3-hole hitter went 2-for-4 on the day. Doran, Hartman, and Everroad each collected two hits for Vincennes University. Phillips stole two bases. Vincennes Universityturned one double play in the game.
 

Loggers Falls To Vincennes University

The Loggers could not keep up with Vincennes University 6-2 on Friday at Vincennes Indiana. The Loggers got on the board in the top of the first inning after Cox singled to the left side of the infield, and Barnes hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run.

In the bottom of the third inning, Vincennes University went back into the lead after Everroad singled to left field, and Andrews singled to the right side of the infield, each scoring two runs.
Allen earned the win for Vincennes University. The starting pitcher gave up six hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out two and walking two. Buhs took the loss for the Loggers. The starting pitcher went three innings, giving up five runs (three earned) on five hits, striking out five and walking three.

Cox and Swaney were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for the Loggers while hitting back-to-back. Cox and Barnes each drove in one run for the Loggers. The Loggers turned three double plays in the game.

Everroad drove the middle of the lineup, leading Vincennes University with two runs batted in. The number three hitter went 1-for-4 on the day. Patterson and Papalios were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Vincennes University. Hartman stole two bases. Vincennes University stole four bases in the game. Vincennes University turned one double play in the game. Vincennes University didn't commit a single error in the field. Everroad had the most chances in the field with eight.
