JWCC Blazers Take Down The Loggers A Little At A Time

March 9, 2026 vs. JWCC Blazers
JWCC Blazers kept adding on runs in a 6-0 victory over the Loggers on Monday at Lincoln Land Community College. JWCC Blazers were the first to get on the board in the first when Quinlan singled, scoring one run.
Saxer earned the win for JWCC Blazers. The pitcher surrendered five hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out five and walking five. Wheeler took the loss for Loggers 2026. The righty went four innings, allowing three runs (two earned) on five hits, striking out seven and walking two.
Roberson and Swaney each collected two hits for the Loggers. Moffatt paced the Loggers with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, piling up seven walks for the game. Rakestraw and Sohn were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for JWCC Blazers while hitting back-to-back. Sohn led JWCC Blazers with two runs batted in. The leadoff hitter went 2-for-3 on the day. Rakestraw and Whiteside each stole multiple bases for JWCC Blazers. JWCC Blazers ran wild on the base paths, tallying six stolen bases for the game. JWCC Blazers turned one double play in the game.


Loggers Loses Despite Out Hitting JWCC Blazers

March 9, 2026 vs. JWCC Blazers

The Loggers fell 15-5 to JWCC Blazers on Monday at Lincoln Land Community College despite out-hitting them 12 to five. Saxe led Loggers with four hits. JWCC Blazers were the first to get on the board in the first when Quinlan hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.

JWCC Blazers added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Hunt homered to left field, and JWCC Blazers scored on a wild pitch, each scoring one run. Bowles doubled to left field, which helped the Loggers tie the game at three in the bottom of the third.

JWCC Blazers flipped the game on its head in the top of the fifth, scoring five runs on three hits to take the lead, 8-3. The biggest blow in the inning was a grand slam to center field by Livingston that drove in four.

Cooper pitched three innings in relief for the Loggers 2026. The righty gave up four hits and seven runs (three earned) while, striking out four and walking three. Powers started the game for the Loggers. The pitcher gave up zero hits and one run (zero earned) over two innings, striking out two and walking four. Coleman stepped on the mound first for JWCC Blazers. The hurler surrendered 10 hits and four runs over six innings, striking out six and walking two.

The Loggers accumulated 12 hits in the game. Bowles provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led the Loggers with three runs batted in. The left-handed hitter went 2-for-3 on the day. Cox and Swaney each collected multiple hits for the Loggers.

Livingston led JWCC Blazers with four runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup. The outfielder went 1-for-2 on the day. Bunch, Sohn, Livingston, Hunt, and Quinlan each collected one hit for JWCC Blazers. JWCC Blazers had patience at the plate, collecting 13 walks for the game. Bunch, Rodebush, Sohn, Livingston, and Quinlan led the team with two bases on balls each.

The Loggers will travel to Millikin University for their next game on Wednesday.
