Swaney A Difficult Out As The Loggers Defeat Harper College Hawks

Swaney collected three hits in four at bats, as the Loggers defeated Harper College Hawks 7-4 on Saturday at Normal. Swaney doubled in the first inning, singled in the second inning, and singled in the fourth inning.

The Loggers got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Bowles grounded out, Barnes doubled down the right field line, and Swaney doubled to left field, each scoring one run.
Harper College Hawks scored one run in the top of the second on a solo home run to right field by Roche.

The Loggers added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning when Cox doubled, scoring one run, and Swaney singled, scoring two runs.
Hutton earned the win for the Loggers. Harper College Hawks defeated the Loggers 9-2 on Saturday at Normal thanks in part to five runs in the first inning.

Harper College Hawks got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Roche singled down the right field line, Nohava hit a sacrifice fly, Kave singled to right field, Hickey singled down the left field line, and Mango singled to the left side of the infield, each scoring one run.

Moffatt hit a solo home run to right field in the top of the third for the Loggers.

Harper College Hawks added one run in the third after Hickey singled to center field following a 6-pitch at-bat. Blackwell earned the win for Harper College Hawks. The starting pitcher allowed four hits and two runs over five innings, striking out 12 and walking two. Wheeler took the loss for the Loggers. The starter went one-third of an inning, surrendering three runs (zero earned) on two hits, striking out none and walking none.

Number nine hitter, Moffatt, showed the depth of the Loggers lineup, by leading them with two hits in three at bats. Turner and Moffatt each drove in one run for Loggers. The Loggers turned one double play in the game.

Harper College Hawks piled up 11 hits in the game. Hickey, the number eight hitter for Harper College Hawks, led the way with four runs batted in.
