SWIC defeated the Loggers 11-1 on Saturday thanks in part to seven runs in the sixth inning. The Loggers were the first to get on the board in the fifth when Cox grounded out, scoring one run.
SWIC took the lead, 7-1, in the bottom of the sixth thanks to home runs by Stanek, Bleakney, Bertsch, and Wright. Bryant earned the win for SWIC. The pitcher gave up one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out four and walking none. Wheeler took the loss for Loggers. The hurler went five innings, allowing three runs on two hits, striking out five and walking three. Knebel led things off on the mound for SWIC. The southpaw gave up one hit and one run over five innings, striking out six and walking three.
Bowles and Cox were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected one hit for the Loggers. The Loggers were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Lennington made the most plays with eight.
SWIC piled up 10 hits in the game. Stanek provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led SWIC with five runs batted in. The infielder went 2-for-3 on the day.
