The Lincoln Land men's basketball team fell to 6-7 on the season after falling to the Cobras of Parkland 102-57.
Lincoln Land found themselves trailing immediately as the game began with an 8-0 run by Parkland. It took LLCC nearly four minutes to get their first points of the afternoon. Once the Loggers got their first bucker to get back within 6, the game never got closer the rest of the way. The offense struggled most the evening, finally getting into double digits with under 5:00 to play in the first half, already trailing by 20. At half the Loggers trailed 43-17, their worst scoring half of the season.Â
The second half the Logger offense improved, but defense was still slow as Parkland knocked in 5 three pointers in the first 7 possessions of the second half and the rout was officially on. Although the Loggers were able to put in 40 points in the second half, they were still outscored 59-40 and fell by the final of 102-57.Â
One logger ended in double digits, Nate Moore, who finished with 11.Â
Lincoln Land is 6-7 on the season and remains on the road Saturday to East Peoria to take on Illinois Central to complete their first time through all the MWAC games.Â
