Lincoln Land Volleyball went 2-0 on the first day of the Johnson County Challenge defeating Fort Scott Community College 25-11, 16-25, 25-21, 20-25, 15-13. Morgan Cowdrey hit a .311% leading in kills with 17, Kailyn Jefferson had 10 kills, Savannah Kaeb earned 9, Harper Darr had 8, Gracie Brockett earned 7 kills, and Ella Kinkelaar had 5 kills. Kinkelaar also earned herself a double-double with 38 assists and 15 digs. Izzy Lynch contributed 8 assists and led the Loggers defense with 26 digs. Morgan Cowdrey also earned a double-double with 10 digs. Izzy Lynch owned the serving line with 6 aces, Morgan Cowdrey earned 4 aces, and Kaylee Abens and Ella Kinkelaar each contributed 2 aces.
The Loggers defeated Northeast Nebraska 25-23, 12-25, 25-23, 25-21. Izzy Lynch led the Loggers in digs with 24, Harper Darr earned 17 digs, captains Ella Kinkelaar and Kaylee Abens each contributed 8 digs. Morgan Cowdrey had 6 block assists, Savannah Kaeb earned 5 block assists, Gracie Brockett earned 3, and Ella Kinkelaar with 2. Brockett led the Loggers' offense with 12 kills, Ella Kinkelaar and Kailyn Jefferson each earned 9 kills, Morgan Cowdrey followed right behind with 8 kills, and Savannah Kaeb had 7. Kinkelaar led the Loggers with 35 assists.
The Loggers face Johnson County Community College and Central Nebraska for day 2 of the Johnson County Challenge.
