Loggers Fall Victim To Lake Land Lakers Rally

The Loggers lost to Lake Land Lakers 6-5 on Tuesday even though they once led by four runs. Ethan Hurst collected three hits in five at bats in the loss. Ethan Hurst hit a solo home run to center field in the fifth inning, singled in the first inning, and singled in the seventh inning.

The Loggers got on the board in the top of the first inning after Andrew Hendrickson hit a sacrifice fly, Ethan Hurst singled to center field, Lake Land Lakers committed an error, and Brooks Neuhoff singled down the left field line, each scoring one run.

Lake Land Lakers scored two runs in the bottom of the fourth on a home run to center field by Luca Mendez. The Loggers scored one run in the top of the fifth on a solo home run to center field by Ethan Hurst.

In the bottom of the fifth inning, Lake Land Lakers went back into the lead after Vinny Spotofora walked, Colin Colon was struck by a pitch, and Lake Land Lakers scored on a wild pitch, each scoring one run.

Will Leman started the game for the Loggers. The right-handed pitcher allowed six hits and three runs (two earned) over four innings, striking out five and walking one. Griffin Hallahan stepped on the mound first for Lake Land Lakers. The starter allowed five hits and four runs (two earned) over three innings, striking out five and walking one.

The Loggers turned one double play in the game. Lake Land Lakers collected 10 hits in the game. Kiefer Tarnoki set the tone at the top of the lineup, leading Lake Land Lakers with three hits in four at bats. Luca Mendez led Lake Land Lakers with two runs batted in. The left-handed hitter went 2-for-3 on the day.
