Loggers Get Walked off at St. Charles

Brooks Neuhoff collected four hits in four at bats, but the Loggers lost to St Charles Community College 7-6 on Tuesday. Neuhoff hit a solo home run to right field in the third inning, singled in the fifth inning, singled in the seventh inning, and singled in the ninth inning.

The Loggers got on the board in the third inning after Neuhoff hit a solo home run to right field.

Andrew Pyszka tripled down the right field line, which helped St Charles Community College tie the game at one in the bottom of the third. In the bottom of the fourth, St Charles Community College broke up the tie when Jaiden Glency tripled, scoring one run. Then a triple by Cooper Robertson followed to extend the lead to 3-1.

Nolan Turner grounded into a fielder's choice, which helped Loggers tie the game at four in the top of the seventh. A solo home run to right field by Glency gave St Charles Community College the lead, 5-4, in the bottom of the eighth.

A double by Andrew Hendrickson gave the Loggers the lead, 6-5, in the top of the ninth.

Glency walked, which helped St Charles Community College tie the game at six in the bottom of the ninth.

Nolan Hand earned the win for St Charles Community College. The reliever gave up two hits and one run over one inning, striking out two and walking none. Jacob Long took the loss for Loggers. The southpaw went one-third of an inning, surrendering two runs (zero earned) on one hit, striking out one and walking one. Will Leman stepped on the bump first for Loggers. The hurler allowed five hits and three runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking none. Cole Harris started on the hill for St Charles Community College. The starter surrendered one hit and zero runs over one inning, striking out none and walking none.

The Loggers amassed 10 hits in the game. Hendrickson provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led the Loggers with two runs batted in. The left-handed hitter went 1-for-5 on the day. Turner collected three hits for the Loggers in four at bats.

St Charles Community College collected 10 hits in the game. Ryan McDonald, Nick Alagna, and Glency each collected two hits for St Charles Community College. Glency went 2-for-4 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in. St Charles Community College ran wild on the base paths, amassing four stolen bases for the game.
