Game 1 - Lincoln Land Loggers Fall To Illinois Central College After Surrendering Big Fourth Inning

Illinois Central College defeated Lincoln Land Loggers 13-3 on Wednesday at LLCC thanks in part to seven runs in the fourth inning. Illinois Central College were the first to get on the board in the first when Kayleigh Harr homered to left field, scoring two runs.
Lincoln Land Loggers scored one run in the bottom of the first on a solo home run to right field by Shelby Finchum on a full count. Illinois Central College added to their early lead in the top of the second inning when Nivarra Oredina doubled, scoring one run, and Cassidee Bauer homered to center field, scoring three runs.
Illinois Central College scored seven runs on six hits in the top of the fourth inning. Cassidee Bauer laid down a sacrifice bunt, scoring one run, Bailey Herrick homered to right field, scoring two runs, Courtney Campbell drew a walk, scoring one run, and Nivarra Oredina doubled, scoring three runs.
Broghan Hall earned the win for Illinois Central College. The starting pitcher gave up seven hits and three runs over five innings, striking out three and walking none. Reagan Jonas took the loss for Lincoln Land Loggers. The hurler went one and two-thirds innings, giving up six runs (two earned) on six hits, striking out one and walking one.
Ryleigh Davidson drove the middle of the lineup, leading Lincoln Land Loggers with two runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 2-for-2 on the day. Ryleigh Davidson and Abby Hendricks each collected two hits for Lincoln Land Loggers.

Illinois Central College defeated Lincoln Land Loggers 17-4 on Wednesday at LLCC thanks in part to 10 runs in the fourth inning. A walk by N Oredina put Illinois Central College on the board in the top of the first.
Lincoln Land Loggers jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Allie Dolenc singled to left field, and Illinois Central College committed an error, each scoring one run. A single by N Oredina gave Illinois Central College the lead, 3-2, in the top of the second.
M Brown hit a solo home run to center field in the top of the third for the Illinois Central College. Emmy Renfro homered to center field following a 6-pitch at-bat, which helped Lincoln Land Loggers tie the game at four in the bottom of the third.
Illinois Central College flipped the game on its head in the top of the fourth, scoring 10 runs on nine hits to take the lead, 14-4. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by G Gunther that drove in two. E Compton earned the win for Illinois Central College. The starting pitcher gave up six hits and four runs (three earned) over three innings, striking out five and walking none. Faith Nestler took the loss for Lincoln Land Loggers. The starter went three and one-third innings, allowing 11 runs (10 earned) on nine hits, striking out three and walking four.
