Game 1 - Lincoln Land Loggers Lose To Parkland College

Lincoln Land Loggers lost to Parkland College 9-4 on Monday. Parkland College got on the board in the first inning after L Fearday singled, scoring one run. Parkland College extended their early lead with three runs in the bottom of the second thanks to RBI singles by M Gourley and J Turner. Parkland College added one run in the third after K Otto singled to center field.
M Brown earned the win for Parkland College. The starter gave up six hits and four runs (three earned) over six innings, striking out seven and walking none. Faith Nestler took the loss for Lincoln Land Loggers. The hurler went six innings, surrendering nine runs on 13 hits, striking out seven and walking five.
Brooke Goetter and Camryn Patterson each collected two hits for Lincoln Land Loggers. Brooke Goetter led Lincoln Land Loggers with two runs batted in. The outfielder went 2-for-4 on the day. Lincoln Land Loggers were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Abby Mcdonald made the most plays with eight.

Game 2 - Lincoln Land Loggers Come Up Short Against Parkland College

Lincoln Land Loggers fell to Parkland College 11-6 on Monday at Champaign, IL. Parkland College got on the board in the second inning after L Fearday grounded out, scoring one run. In the top of the third inning, Lincoln Land Loggers went back into the lead after Emmy Renfro singled, and Sam Gleckler singled , each scoring one run.
Parkland College flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the third, scoring five runs on seven hits to take the lead, 6-2. The biggest blow in the inning was a ground out by C Black that drove in two. Parkland College scored one run in the bottom of the fourth on a solo home run to center field by A Horeis.
Brooke Boden opened the game for Lincoln Land Loggers. The starting pitcher allowed eight hits and seven runs (six earned) over three innings, striking out one and walking none. C Black started in the circle for Parkland College. The starting pitcher allowed eight hits and four runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking five.
Lincoln Land Loggers collected 12 hits in the game. Emmy Renfro, Ryleigh Davidson, Sam Gleckler, Abby Hendricks, and Shelby Finchum each collected two hits for Lincoln Land Loggers. Taryn Millburg, Abby Jackson, Sam Gleckler, Shelby Finchum, and Camryn Patterson each drove in one run for Lincoln Land Loggers. Lincoln Land Loggers had a strong eye at the plate, tallying six walks for the game. Madison Kloba and Abby Jackson led the team with two walks each.
