Game 1 - Lincoln Land Loggers Beat Heartland Hawks

Lincoln Land Loggers bested Heartland Hawks 11-7 on Saturday at LLCC. Heartland Hawks were the first to get on the board in the first when Shayne Immke hit a solo home run to left field.
Lincoln Land Loggers captured the lead, 4-1, in the bottom of the first when Kendyl Hurt induced Ryleigh Davidson to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, Emmy Renfro doubled, scoring one run, and Brooke Goetter singled, scoring two runs. Lincoln Land Loggers scored two runs in the bottom of the second on a home run to center field by Allie Dolenc.
Heartland Hawks tied the game up in the top of the fourth thanks to two errors. Heartland Hawks tied the game at six on an error.
Lincoln Land Loggers flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the sixth, scoring five runs on two hits to take the lead, 11-6. The biggest blow in the inning was a fielder's choice by Allie Dolenc that drove in one.
Faith Nestler earned the win for Lincoln Land Loggers. The starting pitcher gave up nine hits and seven runs (three earned) over seven innings, striking out two and walking four. C Farnam took the loss for Heartland Hawks. The hurler went four innings, giving up five runs on five hits, striking out two and walking six. Kendyl Hurt led things off in the circle for Heartland Hawks. The starter surrendered six hits and six runs over two innings, striking out three and walking none.

Game 2 - Finchum Drives In Many Batters As Lincoln Land Loggers Lose To Heartland Hawks

Shelby Finchum drove in four on two hits, but Lincoln Land Loggers fell to Heartland Hawks 8-7 on Saturday at LLCC. Lincoln Land Loggers fought back after falling down by five runs in the fifth inning. The comeback fell just short though. Lincoln Land Loggers closed the gap by scoring on a solo home run, a triple, and a double.
Heartland Hawks got on the board in the top of the third inning after Concetta DeBord doubled, scoring one run, and Shayne Immke singled, scoring three runs. Lincoln Land Loggers scored two runs in the bottom of the fourth on a home run to center field by Emmy Renfro.
Cara Farnam homered to center field, scoring two runs in the top of the fifth for the Heartland Hawks. Lincoln Land Loggers scored one run in the bottom of the fifth on a solo home run to center field by Shelby Finchum.
Tayla Eaves earned the win for Heartland Hawks. The righty allowed nine hits and seven runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out eight and walking one. Maddie Adams took the loss for Lincoln Land Loggers. The pitcher went three innings, giving up four runs (two earned) on seven hits, striking out none and walking none.
